Game Day Highlights

For Ava, her favorite part of game day is twirling during the fight song at pregame. The anticipation in the stadium, the glow batons, and the excitement of the crowd create an unforgettable atmosphere. The energy and enthusiasm felt throughout the stadium make every moment special!

A Memorable Game Day

Lizzy recalls an unforgettable game during her freshman year when Arizona clinched their first win of the season. The atmosphere was electric as the band played, the crowd cheered, and fans rushed the field. Twirling on that day felt extraordinary, and it reminded her why she chose to be an Arizona twirler.

Why Twirling for Arizona is Special

For Paige, twirling at Arizona means representing a university with a rich tradition and vibrant community. She loves engaging with the student section, feeling the fans’ excitement, and being part of the iconic Pride of Arizona Marching Band. Twirling at Arizona is more than just performing; it's about being part of a close-knit community that supports and uplifts each other.

Game Day Rituals

Aubrey has a fun pre-game ritual: she listens to High School Musical songs while getting ready. The twirlers warm up together in the stadium before marching to the field with the band. This tradition creates a sense of unity, and for Aubrey, these moments with her teammates make game day magical.

Preparation for Performances

Emma shared that game day prep begins long before the fans fill the stadium. The Pride of Arizona practices throughout the week, perfecting routines and sideline performances. On game day, the twirlers have a morning run-through, making sure everything is flawless. Staying hydrated and fueling up with a healthy meal are key for Emma, who loves listening to music to get into the game day spirit.

Favorite Game Day Snack

It wouldn’t be game day without a little snack! The team’s go-to is candy, particularly sour patch kids, for a quick boost of energy. Paired with nutritious meals and plenty of water to combat the Arizona sun, the twirlers stay game-ready!

Advice for Incoming College Twirlers

She also emphasizes the importance of forming bonds with teammates, as these friendships can last a lifetime. Doing what you love with your best friends makes for an unforgettable college twirling experience!

Final Thoughts

The University of Arizona Twirlers love representing their school and the Pride of Arizona. They are grateful for the community that supports them and for the opportunity to inspire others to pursue college twirling. From game day traditions to lasting friendships, their journey as Arizona twirlers is filled with passion, excitement, and unforgettable memories.
